The iDo Script Scheduler background software

iDo Script Scheduler is based on our PowerKey scheduling system. In order to function, iDo Script Scheduler includes the background software components and helper files used by the PowerKey software. These can be found in the following locations, depending on which version of Mac OS you are using.

Mac OS 10.1 or later

The PowerKey folder in the /Library/StartupItems folder contains the background software that runs scripts according to your schedule.

Tip: To disable iDo Script Scheduler, remove this folder and restart your computer.

The PowerKey Folder in the /Library/Preferences folder contains your schedule settings.

The com.sophisticated.ido-ss.plist document in the (user's home)/Library/Preferences folder contains window and event list settings for the iDo Script Scheduler application. Each user on the computer will get his own window settings.

Mac OS 8.6 and 9.x

The PowerKey Extension in the system's Extensions folder contains the background software that runs scripts according to your schedule.

Tip: To disable iDo Script Scheduler, remove this file or disable it with the Extensions Manager control panel and restart your computer.

The iDo Script Scheduler Folder is installed in any location you choose (by default it is placed at the main level of your hard disk). It contains the iDo Script Scheduler Help system and optional extra items.

Finally, a PowerKey Folder is placed in the system's Preferences folder. This contains your schedule settings.
