Types of scheduled events
There are four types of scheduled events to choose from. You select which type of event using the "When" pop-up menu in the scheduled event editor.
When you select an event type from this menu, the contents of the "When" area change to show fields which specify when the event will run.
This type of event will occur exactly once, at the chosen time and date. After the event runs, it will disappear from your schedule.
Enter the time and date to run the event into the appropriate fields using the keyboard, arrow keys or "up" and "down" buttons.
This type of event will run at a regular interval between minutes and weeks.
Choose an interval type from the pop-up menu, and type the number of intervals into the field. Enter a starting time and date into the "Starting on" fields.
Days of Week
This type of event will run at the same time on one or more days of each week.
Check the boxes corresponding to the days you wish to run the event, and enter the time of day into the time field.
Day of Month
This type of event will occur at the same time on one day of each month.
Type a number into the "day" field, and select a day from the pop-up menu. If you select "Day," the script will run on the same date of each month (e.g. January 10, February 10, etc.). If you select a weekday, the script will run on the same weekday of each month (e.g. third Monday of January, third Monday of February, etc.).
Tip: You can also type negative numbers into the "day" field, and the script will run on the same day from the end of each month. For example, typing "-2" will make the script run on January 30, February 27, March 30, etc.
